This Hidden Gem is a luxuriously furnished, four star self catering holiday cottage set in a quiet side street just two minutes walk from Deal Castle and the the beach in this picturesque fishing town. Deal has a typically vibrant seaside atmosphere and offers a wide selection of shops, Sunday market along with numerous cafes, pubs and restaurants. The local fishermen can often be found selling their catch along the seafront and it is possible to hire a fisherman and his boat for a days fishing.

The town is well placed for many local golf courses including Walmer and Kingsdown Golf Club and the Royal St Georges Golf Club. Dover Eastern Docks is just a fifteen minute drive away, making a day trip to the continent possible during your stay.

Rooms Description

The Hidden Gem by the Sea is a ground floor, single storey property and comprises of a lounge/diner furnished with a corner sofa and comfortable cushions, wall mounted TV with DVD player, CD player and dining table with four wooden chairs. The fitted kitchen is complete with integrated fridge, freezer, washing machine, gas hob and electric oven. The double bedroom has plenty of space for your clothes along with a wall mounted TV and remote control. The shower room is fitted with a low level WC and power shower. We welcome well behaved pets and the property is strictly non smoking throughout.

Specialities

This property certainly suits those that cannot manage stairs as all the accommodation is on the same level, the only steps are the raised thresholds at the entrances which are approx 8". Most of Deal is flat and so gives easy access for those who have walking difficulties. You will find a lot of 'extras' to help make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable, including equipping you for a day on the beach ie picnic bag, deckchairs, windbreak and beach towels.

Directions: From London, either take the M2 then A2 towards Dover. At the roundabout just outside Dover with a ‘Macdonald’s’, take 2nd exit left, at next roundabout take 1st exit left onto the A258 towards Deal, follow the road for approx 7 miles….** Or from London take M25, then M20 to Dover, follow signs to the docks, follow road up and over the docks. At roundabout, take 3rd exit for A258 to Deal and follow the road for approx 7miles...** *****Then, as soon as you see Deal Castle on your right, turn left into Gladstone Road, Hidden Gem is a little way up the road on your left, parking and entrance is to the left of ‘Artistica’ hairdressing salon.
