The Mount Edgcumbe, being full of history, is also a stones throw away from the world famous Pantiles and natural spa that gave the town its name.The surrounding areas are scattered with interesting places to visit, from stately homes and formal gardens to steam railways and castles, all which are only a short drive from the hotel. The town centre of Royal Tunbridge Wells is a few minutes walk from The Mount Edgcumbe. Here you will find a wide range of shops, cafes and the Royal Victoria Shopping Colonnade. There are also two theatres in the centre, which host many different productions all year round.

The lively Brasserie and Bar provide a warm, friendly ambiance with an authentic 8th century candle lit cave, hollowed out from the historic sandstone rock, which provides the hotel with its foundation. Four Poster Double Room, Ensuite Bathroom. Admiral Parry, Double Room, Ensuite Bathroom. Lady Sophia, Twin Room, Ensuite Bathroom. Wig Room, Single Room, Ensuite Bathroom. Andrew of Edgcumbe, Single Room, Ensuite Bathroom. These are the only rooms available, we do not have family rooms, or spare beds to squeeze in to make family rooms. The Double and Twin rooms take a maximum or 2 persons only, the single rooms take a maximum of 1 person only

During the day time, well behaved Children and dogs on leads are welcome in the Bar area and in the Garden. (Dog bowls provided). The brasserie menu features a broad range of international and traditional English specialties with Traditional Roasts available on Sundays.
