Canterbury lies on the River Stour. Originally a Celtic settlement, the town offers a rich history. Canterbury Cathedral is close by, a world heritage site and the Mother Church of the Anglican Communion. You can relive the Canterbury Tales at St Margaret's Church or visit St Augustine's abbey. Marlowe's Theatre offers a lighter escape from reality or spend a fun day at Howletts Wild Animal Park, a 90 acre wild extravaganza.
