Quality bed & breakfast in Ashford near Folkestone and the Kent coast, at a 14th Century farmhouse in the Heart of England. Period features throughout. Families welcome
Here at the 4 star and Silver Awarded Elmsted B&B we offer two rooms in our family home, and a wonderful country experience. We are ideally set on a 200 acre working sheep and arable farm, making this a great stay for those who want a peaceful and relaxing holiday. You can sit back and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, as our farm is nestled in the Kent Downs which is deemed an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In this 14th century farmhouse you will find our bedrooms are both spacious and comfortable with great character. In the mornings we provide you with a delicious full English breakfast that is served with fresh eggs from our own free range hens and where possible locally sourced produce. We are proud to announce that we have recently been given a Breakfast Award by Visit England.
We are perfectly located for exploring the surrounding areas. Nearby you can visit many historic attractions such as Leeds Castle and the Canterbury Cathedral. Also worth a visit whilst in the region is the Canterbury Tales experience where you can see Chaucer’s stories played out. For a family day out why not stop in at the Howletts and Port Lympne Animal Parks. For more animal life visit some of the areas’ nature reserves. If you feel like venturing further from the area London is only an hour and a half train or car journey away.
We provide two bedrooms for accommodation. Our Oak Room contains a king size bed, sofa bed, and an additional single bed, making this perfect for a family or group. The Elm Room is oak beamed and provides twin beds that can be converted to a super king. All of our rooms are en suite with a shower, have a colour TV with freeview and DVD, and we provide tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge.
We are only 8 miles from Junction 11 off the M20, making us a great stopover point if you are going on to the Channel Tunnel and Channel Ports.
